Safari Stroll 2025 at Milwaukee County Zoo!

The call of the wild is calling you to a day of family fun as Autism United of Wisconsin hosts the all-new Safari Stroll at the Milwaukee County Zoo! It’s the perfect opportunity for kids, teens, adults and families impacted by Autism to get up close to all the wonder of wildlife — with a variety of sensory-friendly zones and activities to make your day as easy and stress-free as possible!

Member Perk: Special Member Only Perk For Walk Attendees.

Members will receive free Milwaukee County Zoo attraction tickets to use on the big day. This includes the Zoo carousel, safari train ride, sky ride or special Dinosaur exhibit, plus access to the VIP member tent with goodies and giveaways.

Don’t forget, membership and this event can be covered by your CLTS Waiver! 

Remember! If you or your family have a Wisconsin Children’s Long-Term Care (CLTS) waiver, your Autism United membership and admission to Safari Stroll could be covered!

Action Zone 

Games, activities, bounce houses and more! If you’ve got wiggles to work out, here’s your go-to place!

Yummy Zone 

Breakfast delights, super snacks and more nutritional goodies on sale! Can you say “nom?!”

Safety Zone 

Keeping kiddos impacted by Autism safe as possible is priority! Our Safety Zone shares strategies to help, plus a chance to interact with police officers and first responders in a low-stress setting.

Creativity Zone 

Creativity is everyone’s voice — and at our Creativity Zone, you and your loved one(s) with Autism can express your individuality in a sensory-safe environment!

Learning Zone 

Autism United of Wisconsin has a team with an array of Autism and neurodivergent experts and organizations to help you access valuable resources, guidance, services and supports!

Quiet Zone

If the time comes to take a break, just make way to our Quiet Zone for rest, relaxation and recharging!

Proper Attire Encouraged! 

You’ll be looking great at our Safari Stroll with your very own Safari Stroll t-shirt — included with every registered guest! Just specify your adult or child size when registering!

A-10-tion (Attention) Teams!

Got a group of 10 or more? Encourage your friends and families to sign up with your team at Safari Stroll, and you can get your family’s, team’s or company’s logo on back with 10 or more participants per team.

That was then, this is now!

Almost 25 years ago, an event called Dylan’s Run began with the goal to build awareness of Autism in our communities, while helping to fund research and outreach for all impacted by Autism. Across the years, Dylan’s Run — and its later incarnation, the A-Team Fun Walk — attracted thousands of kids, teens, adults, families and care providers in a common mission!

Today, our mission remains the same as we bring you the new Safari Stroll, a family fun day for all to enjoy in the great outdoors…at Milwaukee County Zoo, one of the top-ranked zoos in the Midwest and United States!

Join us and support us by attending and sponsoring Safari Stroll, a “rip-roaring” good time where 3,100 animals from 350 species will all welcome you!
