DESCRIPTION:Join Autism United of Wisconsin as we partner with the WJ Niederkorn Library to offer FREE fun\, interactive sensory playtimes! The sensory playtime program is set up as a variety of tactile\, sensory activity stations where children (under 13 years old) are free to explore with their caregiver. Each month there is a different theme. Stations may include shaving cream\, sand\, water\, and/or food items. Dress to make a mess. \nResearch shows sensory play supports children in their brain development\, language development\, gross and fine motor skills\, as well as improving their ability to socially interact. Stop by for a little while of stay the whole time. Registration recommended\, but not required. This Open Play is for children with special/support needs of all ages and their families. This event offers opportunities for children to play in a safe space surrounded by like-minded parents who understand the experiences of one another. \nWhen weather allows\, St. Francis opens their large\, fenced- in playground that is secure for children who elope. DESCRIPTION:Join Autism United of Wisconsin as we partner with the WJ Niederkorn Library to offer FREE fun\, interactive sensory playtimes! The sensory playtime program is set up as a variety of tactile\, sensory activity stations where children (under 13 years old) are free to explore with their caregiver. Each month there is a different theme. Stations may include shaving cream\, sand\, water\, and/or food items. Dress to make a mess. \nResearch shows sensory play supports children in their brain development\, language development\, gross and fine motor skills\, as well as improving their ability to socially interact. Stop by for a little while of stay the whole time. Registration recommended\, but not required.
