DESCRIPTION:Are you parenting a neurodiverse teen or adult? Do you feel disconnected from parents with “neurotypicals?” \nWe have unique experiences only our special community shares. Join us for a fun\, Community-Building Gathering! \nCatch up with old friends\, meet new friends\, and find your people! For we need our tribe as much as our kids need theirs! \nDeAnna\, proud mom of 2 current UWW students\, has been a special education teacher over 12 years with a degree in English Literature\, film studies\, and cross-categorical special education. She has years of experience working with children and young adults with Autism\, including elementary\, middle school\, college\, and in-home teaching and care. De currently facilitates AU’s SWAN program (Southeastern Wisconsin Autistic Navigators) as well as AU’s Teen Nights group. De continually seeks to learn and connect with individuals\, families\, schools\, and the communities we serve\, throughout the lifespan.
